Build your own 3D Printer!

Rich has already helped 21 people build printers, and he is interested in arranging more. The community of Tevo Tarantula owners is quite an asset to local making. The peer to peer knowledge sharing via the same printing platform is a powerful benefit to all participants. Rich arranges classes on an ongoing basis, so please contact if interested!

Glass Etching with Vinyl Stencils

Come try the process on a sample and see if you are interested in the technique. November at Kapaa Library, registration details to be announced.

Introduction to Computer Aided Design using OnShape

This group meets on the first Tuesday each month (until February 2018) to learn the software and discuss projects. Taught by retired aerospace engineer, Richard O’Reilly, participants learn how to draw two dimension sketches and create 3D models. You will gain the ability to make your own drawings and materials lists quickly and easily for anything from a bird house or wood shed to whatever you can imagine. This class will also give you the know-how to create your own models for 3D printing. This is an entry level class designed to be accessible to anyone who has basic familiarity with web browsing and concepts used in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation / desktop publishing and simple graphics programs. OnShape is a professional, cloud based CAD suite, with free access for non-professional use!

Class requirements:

Please bring your own Wi-Fi enabled personal laptop computer with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox pre-installed. Please have your own valid Hawaii State Public Library System library card. Bring a notepad and pen.
